Project Overview
In March 2023, Precision UK Ltd, specialists in medical pipeline solutions, approached us with the need to upgrade their existing EV charging facilities at their commercial premises in Hazel Grove, Stockport. Their previous 7kW chargers were no longer sufficient, and they required a more robust and future-ready solution to support their growing demand. With their car park open to the public, durability and security were also key considerations.
Our Solution
We recommended and installed 3 Rolec twin socketed SECURICHARGE vehicle chargers (ROLEC0123), each offering 2 x 16A 11kW three-phase mode 3 fast charging. Unlike the company’s previous plastic, domestic-style chargers, these new units feature a robust steel enclosure designed specifically for commercial environments with public access.
To protect the electrical infrastructure, we implemented load limiting technology to safeguard the main incoming fuse. The project also required replacement of existing cabling, and due to the larger capacity cables, we carefully planned and agreed on a new cable route in advance. Some of the work involved operating above office ceilings, which demanded precise planning and clear communication to ensure minimal disruption.
As part of the service, we also provided guidance on accessing the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) Government Grant, helping Precision UK Ltd reduce the overall cost of their EV charger upgrade.

The project was successfully completed within 3–4 days, delivering a secure, high-performance EV charging solution tailored to Precision UK’s needs. The installation not only improved the reliability and speed of their charging facilities but also enhanced safety and resilience for a site with public access.
