If you are a residential landlord looking to install EV charge points at your rental properties, there is a government grant available that could cover a significant portion of the cost.
As OZEV-authorised installers, we can support the application process as part of our standard installation service.
The Residential Landlord Chargepoint Grant is a government-backed scheme that funds up to £500 per charging socket towards the cost of purchasing and installing EV charge points at eligible residential rental properties. Landlords can apply for up to 200 sockets across all of their sites.
The grant is currently in its final year and closes on 31 March 2027. There is no confirmed government funding beyond that date, so if you have been considering an installation across your portfolio, acting before the deadline is advisable.
You own or manage residential rental properties registered in the UK, such as flats, houses or apartment blocks
Grants can only be used on existing properties
Each parking space you’re applying to install a ChargePoint at must be off-street, private and clearly defined and accessible to your tenant
You must own the freehold to the property
