EV Chargepoint and Infrastructure Grants for Landlords

We understand the evolving landscape of transportation and sustainability. We’re excited to introduce you to the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint and Infrastructure Grants for Landlords—an opportunity for property owners to enhance their offerings and contribute to a greener future.

What Are the Electric Vehicle ChargePoints and Infrastructure Grants for Landlords?

These government-backed grants are aimed at landlords and property owners, encouraging them to invest in EV charging infrastructure for their residential and commercial properties. Landlords who are interested in installing EV chargers at their rental properties can take advantage of two government-backed grants, and these grants can be used together to save money on the purchase and installation of ChargePoints. By participating in this initiative, landlords can offer a competitive edge to their tenants, making their properties more attractive in an increasingly eco-conscious world.

EV Chargepoint Grant for Landlords

As with the EV ChargePoint grants for homeowners, landlords can receive financial support for installing electric vehicle ChargePoint sockets, with up to £350 per socket or 75% off the cost to buy and install the chargers. For landlords who own multiple properties, a total of 200 grants at residential properties and 100 at commercial properties each financial year.

EV Infrastructure Grant for Landlords

The EV Infrastructure Grant for Landlords is available to residential landlords only and provides financial assistance towards the costs of broader building and installation work needed to accommodate multiple Chargepoint sockets, both for current and future use. Landlords can get up to £30,000 or 75% off the cost of the work with the ability to receive up to 30 grants per year as long as work is being carried out on at least 5 parking spaces and at least 1 Chargepoint is being installed as part of the work.
